Kelly's 13 weeks old

Kelly's been home for 3 weeks and he is spoiled rotten! He explores the house and keeps us very busy. He currently has no interest in any of his toys, but he loves a good bone! He hides his bones in his bed and under the kitchen table. Nick has started training and Kelly knows how to sit and lay down. Next up, roll over.

Kelly and Luna are bonding, kind of. He chases her around the living room, but she has proven to be too fast for him. Sometimes he catches her off guard and jumps on top of her, but she always gets away. Kelly has started climbing up the stairs. He started off only climbing up 4 stairs to a middle platform (Luna's hangout), but Thursday he climbed all the way to the 3rd floor. He's discovered a whole new world up there! Kelly can climb up, but he's too scared to climb down. It's only a matter of time before he's climbing down to the bottom floor.

Kelly went to the vet again this past week. He has gained a pound and currently weights 6 lbs. He also received another round of shots. He can't go outside for a few more weeks until he finishes his parvo shots (we live in a community with a lot of different dogs and the vet says it's best to keep him inside), so we've started some leash training in the house and in our driveway. All of us are anxious to go outside, but we are listening to the vet and going to hold out a few more weeks. The vet did give us the o.k. for a doggy date, as long as it is in a controlled area with a healthy dog. We are planning to have Kelly's first doggie date with our friend Michelle and her dog Max.
