Christmas is on it's way!

Winter's finally here in San Diego and Christmas is on it's way! Last weekend we went and got our first Christmas tree. We looked around for a moment, but pretty much choose the first tree we saw, a 6 foot Douglas Fur. They strapped it to the Prius and we headed home (but not before stopping at In N Out for some cheeseburgers). Once we got home, Nick and Kelly set it up. The stand actually added about 1 1/2 feet to the tree, so it looks much taller in the house than it did at the lot. Good thing we have high ceilings! We've trimmed the tree and our stockings have been hung. Luna loves laying under the tree and Kelly has inspected it, but he hasn't torn it down as of yet! We're really enjoying having the Christmas spirit in our home.

Kelly is keeping us very busy. He had his first doggie date last week with Max & Romeo, 2 sheep dogs. Kelly had a great time and loved being around the big dogs. He played and barked with both Max & Romeo and didn't stop the whole time. I think Kelly thought he was one of the big boys. Kelly was exhausted when he got home and slept past 9am on Saturday. We can't wait for his next doggie date!

Kelly saw the vet this past week. He is getting bigger every day and currently weighs 7.5 pounds. He had another round of shots and we finally got the o.k. to go outside!!!!!! So, Kelly went for his first walk when we got home. We bought him a leash with body harness and a puffy vest for the cold mornings. Kelly loves cruising around and he already met a little friend. He is very calm and friendly when meeting other dogs. We are so happy that Kelly can finally "take care of business" outside! He and Luna are doing well. They run around the house and Luna is starting to understand that Kelly isn't attacking her, but wanting to play.
