Last week I went to Arkansas for the first time to explore our family roots. My Uncle Sonny has done an enormous amount of research on the Phillips/Clark side of the family and he was our tour guide. Arkansas was very beautiful and I learned so much about my mom's side of the family and where they came from. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

Feeding the geese at the War Eagle Mill
The swinging bridge over Little Mulberry
Mom, myself & Katie
The only spot for lunch & gas for many, many miles
Little Mulberry Creek
On the side of the road, dirt road that is...
On the original steps of my granny's 1st childhood home

Granny's childhood barn
Katie, Mom & me by the barn
The Chinquapin Schoolhouse
One of the many creeks
At the swimming hole

Wow! I love all the pictures. I'll have to get some copies.
